Research

The Canadian Institute for Inclusion and Citizenship undertakes research to inform policy and practice to promote full inclusion and citizenship of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Informed by the principles of disability justice, the CIIC works to inspire and support social change by creating a passion for and commitment to inclusion. We work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, community, government and the private sector to promote social justice, equality and wellbeing of all citizens.

Our work is guided by and supports the full implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
